Shipping, Refunds & Warranty
We make most of our products when they are ordered. Our products are heavily customizable and unique to each person. On average, our products take 1-2 weeks to make and ship once ready. Some orders may take longer to manufacture and we will notify you via email if this is the case. We ship via UPS Ground and USPS. When we ship an item, you (the customer) will be provided a tracking code.
All items purchased from Broad Shoulders Woodworks have a 1 year warranty for manufacturing defects. This 1 year period begins on the day of delivery or pickup. It covers deficiencies in the manufacturing process and material failure. It does not include coverage in the event of misuse, improper care, UV/weather exposure, or other reasons that are out of our control.
Specific information for cutting board and other kitchen related items:
The 1 year warranty does not cover warping, cracking, splintering, cupping, or any other issues that arise from the board being placed in a dishwasher, soaked in a sink, laid flat on a countertop (without feet installed), not being oiled and conditioned per the instructions on this website, or other reasons pointed out in the provided instructions. The warranty specifically does not cover boards damaged from use.
Returns, Refunds and cancelations:
Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns, exchanges, refunds, or cancelations. We make each item custom to order. The nature of our work often involves engravings or other personal items that make it impossible for us to resell to another buyer. If you request a cancelation before we have begun the manufacturing process, we may be able to cancel the order and refund any payments or deposits. If an item arrived damaged, wrong, or is generally not what you wanted, please send an email to contact@broadshoulderswoodworks with your order number and a photo of the item. We will work with you on a solution. We request that you email us within 24 hours of delivery.
